These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) set out important information about

1.1    This Website is provided to you by Consumer Direct Lighting Ltd (“we, us, our”) for your personal use subject to these Terms. By using the Website you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.2    We may update these Terms from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons or to allow the proper operation of the Website. If we do so, the updated version will appear on this page of the Website and will be effective as soon as it is uploaded. The date of the last revision to these Terms is provided at the end of the Terms. We recommend that you visit this page each time you visit the Website to ensure that you are aware of and are complying with any changes that we have made to these Terms. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms you should not continue to use the Website.  If you continue to use the Website after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of the Website indicates your agreement to be bound by the new Terms. 

The content of the Website is protected by copyright, trade marks, database right and other intellectual property rights.  You may retrieve and display the content on the Website on a computer screen, store such content in electronic form on disk (but not on a server or other storage device connected to a network) or print one copy of such content for your personal, non-commercial use, provided you keep intact all and any copyright and proprietary notices.  You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, copy or distribute or use for commercial purposes any of the materials or content on the Website without our prior written permission. 

We cannot promise that the Website will be fault-free.  If a fault occurs with the Website you should report it to marketing@c-d-l.co.uk or by telephoning the Marketing Department on 020 7924 4242 and we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as we can.  Your access to the Website may occasionally be restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new content.  We will attempt to restore access as soon as we reasonably can.

4.1    The Website provides content both from us and from other internet sites or resources and while we try to ensure that material included on the Website is correct, reputable and of high quality, we do not make any warranties or guarantees in relation to any content.  If we are informed of any inaccuracies in the material on the Website we will attempt to correct the inaccuracies as soon as we reasonably can.

4.2    If we are in breach of these Terms we will only be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result and to the extent that they are reasonable and a foreseeable consequence of both of us at the time you use the Website.  Our liability shall not in any event include business losses such as lost data, lost profits or business interruption. 

4.3    This clause 4 shall not limit or affect our liability if something we do negligently causes death or personal injury.

5.1    To register on the Website you must be over eighteen years of age.

5.2    You must ensure that the details provided by you on registration or at any time are correct and complete.

5.3    You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details in order that we can communicate with you effectively. 

5.4    We may use the information gathered when you register for the uses set out in the Privacy Policy. Please read the Privacy Policy carefully in conjunction with these Terms before you register.

5.5    We may suspend or cancel your registration immediately at our reasonable discretion or if you breach any of your obligations under these Terms.

5.6    You can cancel your registration at any time by informing us in writing at
marketing@c-d-l.co.uk.  If you do so, you must stop using the Website.

6.1    When you register to use the Website you will be asked to create a password.  In order to prevent fraud, you must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it or share it with anyone.  If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you should notify us by contacting marketing@c-d-l.co.uk or by telephoning the Marketing Department on 020 7924 4242  immediately.

6.2    If we have reason to believe that there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of the Website, we may require you to change your password or we may suspend your registration.

This Website may contain links to websites owned and operated by third parties.  All links are provided for your interest and convenience only and we make no warranty or representation as to the accuracy of the content of a third party website nor as to the suitability or quality of any third party’s products or services, or any recommendation in respect thereof and shall have no liability to you in respect of losses arising from the supply of goods or services obtained from any such third party.

Part of the Website may contain advertising and sponsorship.  Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring that material submitted for inclusion on the Website complies with relevant laws and codes.  We will not be responsible to you for any error or inaccuracy in advertising and sponsorship material. 

9.1    All descriptions and/or prices of services shown on the Website are subject to contract and do not represent a formal offer. Services to be provided and their cost will be confirmed when you contact us directly to discuss your specific requirements.

10.2    These Terms will be subject to the laws of England and Wales. If you want to take court proceedings, you must do so within the United Kingdom. 

10.3    We make no promise that the content of the Website is appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom, and accessing the Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited.  If you choose to access the Website from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

10.4    You may not transfer any of your rights under these Terms to any other person.  We may transfer our rights under these Terms to another business where we reasonably believe your rights will not be affected.

10.5    If you breach these Terms and we choose to ignore this, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach the Terms.

10.6    We will not be responsible for any breach of these Terms caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
